Matthew 2:4-6

New Living Translation

4 He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?”

5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote:

6 ‘And you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah,    are not least among the ruling cities[a] of Judah,for a ruler will come from you    who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.’[b]”

4  Convocó a los principales sacerdotes y maestros de la ley religiosa y preguntó: «¿Dónde se supone que nacerá el Mesías?»

5  «En Belén de Judea», dijeron, «porque así escribió el profeta:

6 “Y tú, Belén de la tierra de Judá, no eres la más pequeña entre las ciudades gobernantes de Judá , porque de ti saldrá un gobernante que será el pastor de mi pueblo Israel” . [ b ]
