International Senior Club at Gloria Dei Winter Newsletter

Welcome to 2021 and Happy New Year! My best wishes to you for a positive and healthy year, one with fewer restrictions and greater hope for the end of the pandemic with the development of vaccines. As for the Senior Club, I look forward to its safe reopening sometime in 2021.

New year’s resolutions are always a big thing in January of every year. They are easy to make but hard to keep. However, let’s resolve to live healthy and keep fit this year…mentally, physically, and spiritually. Winter is upon us and cold weather is settling in. Try something new that might make you feel better, less stressed, or more energetic. The past year has been hard on all of us.

Below you will find some new websites to check out.

Exercise: It’s important to keep moving.

Seniorexercisesonline.com (exercise videos for people over 60)

Brain Games: Games to help keep our minds busy and sharp.

Meditation: This is a great way to relieve stress. Here is a website which suggests free guided meditation websites to help you get started.

Uclahealth.org (has a list of audio podcasts, some in Spanish, to try.

Have a great year everyone.
